Who are we?

We are a group of people in Central Pennsylvania that gather weekly to study the Word of God and fellowship with one another in a casual, safe environment.

We aim to be a church that teaches the whole counsel of God and thus worships Jesus authentically, equips believers for the work of the ministry, and makes new disciples of Jesus Christ in the Central Pennsylvania area.

We currently meet in Philipsburg but we come from different town around the area including Smithmill, Madera, Morrisdale, and even as far as Glasgow. We have a broad range of age groups and people from every walk of life who have chosen to be part of our group because they desire to learn more about Jesus and the Bible; and are seeking to develop our relationships with Almighty God.

Ultimately, we exist to make mature believers of Jesus Christ throughout Central Pennsylvania and we pray that you would consider joining us as we seek to bring glory to God in our mission.

Why Philipsburg?

We chose Philipsburg due to its central location to many different communities that all needed consistent preaching and teaching that taught the whole counsel of God. It is our hope that as we grow in Christlikeness through the expositional preaching and teaching of the Bible, that we mature as disciples and we intentionally seek to make more disciples of Jesus Christ in Central Pennsylvania.

While the Moshannon Valley has smaller communities that are scattered over significant lengths, there are still approximately 55,000 people that live within 15 miles of Philipsburg (according to the US Census Bureau) and that still need to hear the whole counsel of God. Our hope and prayer is that we can spread the truth of the Gospel throughout the region regardless of which town the individual lives in, what county they work in, or what school they might have attended (or still attend)—their spiritual life is far more important than distance.

Location and Service Details

We meet at 110 E. Pine St. in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania 16866. There is plenty of free parking on North Front Street, East Pine Street, as well as the township owned lots throughout town. When you arrive, please make yourself at home—grab some coffee and a snack, find a seat, and feel free to chat with those around you.

Our services might be a little different than what you’re used to.

  • During Sunday Morning Worship, you can expect any announcements that pertain to the whole group right at the beginning, an opening prayer, congregational singing, Scripture reading, and a 40-45 minute sermon directly from Scripture.

After every service, you’re more than welcome to stick around, get to know the congregation, and ask questions about the church, Jesus, Christianity, or really anything. We would love to be able to worship with you and serve you in whatever way that we can.
